Kopi with the MP is coming up on 13th June 2008! Our invited MP is Mr Teo Ser Luck (Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports & Ministry of Transport). The launch of the Hwa Chong JRA website will also occur on that day!

Spotlight: Kopi with the MP

'Kopi with the MP' is conceptualised with the intent of simulating a coffee-shop setting, a place where Singaporeans from all walks of life gather to discuss a host of issues in an informal, yet informative manner. Many Singaporeans, including youths, are usually intimidated when they are compelled to voice their opinions about various topics in an official setting, because they fear the consequences should they express a perspective that is politically incorrect or not widely accepted. Hence through such an event, we hope to allow the discussion of national policies and issues to take place in a similarly informal, yet informative manner at a coffee-shop setting.
